BALTIMORE, April 30, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Council of Teachers of English has just announced an incredible array of headliners for Spirited Inquiry, their Annual Convention in Baltimore, Maryland, November 21–24, 2019. The event will draw 7,000+ literacy educators from across the country and will feature more than 600 concurrent sessions.
Speakers just announced include:
Luncheon speakers will include authors Laurie Halse Anderson, Renee Watson, and Ibi Zoboi. Overall, more than 250 authors will speak at various sessions, workshops, and events. More speaker details are available on NCTE's website, and additions will be forthcoming over the summer.

The Annual Convention will draw teachers, school leaders, and literacy professionals from preK through college and will offer one of the nation's largest forums for professional development, research, and literacy leadership.
Program Chair and NCTE President-Elect Leah Zuidema selected this year's Spirited Inquiry theme. "This Convention was planned to help teachers rekindle their passion for literacy education. It's a place to discover new ideas and rediscover the heart of teaching. That happens as much with our celebrated speakers as it does with our incredible attendees," said Zuidema.
