HIGH POINT, N.C., Feb. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- TV personalities Bobby Berk, Carson Kressley, Thom Filicia and Michel Smith Boyd headline two of three dynamic events during the April 6 - 10 High Point Market – the world's largest international home furnishings trade show – to share business-building insights with attendees.
The events are part of the trade show's biannual Keynote Series, managed by the High Point Market Authority (HPMA), open to media, furnishings buyers and professional interior designers with registered passes.
On Saturday, April 6, beginning at 2:30 p.m., design celebrities Filicia and Kressley, current Bravo network stars of Get a Room with Carson and Thom, and newcomer Smith Boyd of Buying It Blind, also on Bravo, will take the stage to address industry trends. The unique format – equal parts panel discussion, talk show and game show, including a chance for audience members to win a prize – will be moderated by design journalist and former editor-in-chief of Veranda, Clinton Smith.
On Sunday, April 7, at 3 p.m., Berk, celebrity interior designer in the Queer Eye series on Netflix, outlines the path to his career success and brand-building. From retailer to interior design entrepreneur, to earning recognition as the lovable go-to design expert in one of streaming TV's most popular reboots, moderator and former House Beautiful editor-in-chief Sophie Donelson will guide the conversation up through Berk's new collection launch for A.R.T. Furniture at the spring Market.
A third keynote event, on April 6 at 12 p.m., features LuAnn Nigara, best-selling author, business speaker and host of the podcast, A Well-Designed Business®. Nigara's podcast is the highest rated and reviewed in the the interior design business category, with over 1.3 million downloads.
The Keynote Series aims to enhance the High Point Market attendee's experience with timely, relevant and forward-thinking topics. All events take place in the High Point Theatre.
