Informative event set for Saturday, November 3 at Hilton Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- For some veterans of the United States Armed Forces, getting back into the civilian workforce or starting a business after their service ends is a challenge.  But it's one that can be overcome with the right support.

A good place to start is the Linked Into Veterans Business Conference, set for Saturday, November 3 at the Hilton Orange County, which is located at 3050 Bristol Street in Costa Mesa, California.

The event's producer Debra Faris, who is the mother of a veteran who recently transitioned into the workforce, has lined up a cavalcade of speakers that will address a range of pertinent topics. These include new opportunities, companies looking to employ veterans, and resources for starting your own business, to strategies, solutions and valuable insights for life and networking and connecting with Influencers. Attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Veterans In LinkedIn.

"Veterans Day acknowledges those who served their country and draws attention to the many needs of veterans, including housing, better health and other resources," said Faris. "As my dad was a Navy man, my uncle an Army lifer and my son a U.S Air Force officer, I can say this event represents my true passion to make a difference. When veterans transition from service to civilian, we as executives, business owners and entrepreneurs can connect them to the right people who will help them propel to the next chapter. It may be back to school, managing retirement, choosing a new career or starting a business.  It may even be ending homelessness and enjoying a better life.  Let's serve them since they served us!"

Speakers scheduled to appear include Larry Broughton, an award-winning entrepreneur and CEO, bestselling author, serial entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and former Special Forces operator; Frank Shankwitz, co-founder of the Make-A-Wish Foundation; Founding President/CEO of Solutions for Change Chris Meginson; Eldonna Lewis Fernandez, a keynote speaker, trainer, and consultant; Al Batinga, who creates systems and training for stealth leaders and collaborative teams; and Dr. Mark Goulston, a psychiatrist considered the world's foremost expert on listening with his book, Just Listen.
