BASTROP, Texas, Sept. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Lost Pines Art League will host the 2017 Lost Pines Art Conference - Art a la Carte on November 3 and 4th. The 2017 art conference in Bastrop, Texas, features more than 20 workshops focused on a variety of artistic techniques from drawing to mosaics, from pastels to watercolor. The art conference also includes a portfolio review for photographers, free demonstrations of various art techniques – including glass sculpting and an opportunity to witness a "night pour" at the Deep in the Heart Art Foundry. Class offerings during the conference are designed for both experienced as well as aspiring artists – everyone is welcomed.
"Creatives seek inspiration," said Patricia Rendulic, executive director for the Lost Pines Art Center. "Inspiration comes from engagement in arts, interacting with artists, and experimenting with other mediums. Creatives who immerse themselves in learning discover new things about themselves and their art. We have designed this conference to provide that experience."
The Lost Pines Art League is proud to offer many of the workshops in their brand new 12,000 square foot facility that currently houses galleries, shops and a wine and coffee bar. Other workshops will be held in several locations in historic downtown Bastrop. Bastrop's Main Street is nestled on the banks of the Colorado River in the heart of the Lost Pines region. It includes a selection of shops, restaurants, and galleries. Bastrop is a National Trust for Historic Preservation Distinctive Destination. There are more than 100 restored historic homes in nearby neighborhoods. "Art in Public Places," Deep in the Heart Art Foundry and a large art community welcome artists.

Many of these workshops will be provided by well known and award winning artists. The artists for this year's lineup are Mary Barton, Nancy Beal, Mark Bray, Ric Dentinger, Del Faubus, Roy Flukinger, Carol Lyon, Jodi Martin, Marlene Outlaw, and Enid Wood.

Patricia Rendulic is the Executive Director for the Lost Pines Art Center. The predominantly volunteer based organization is open every day with friendly knowledgeable docents to guide you.
