How to Develop Caregiving Experts Who Rise Above the Competition
Sharon Brothers to discuss topic at Home Care Association of America national conference

BROOKFIELD, Wis., Sept. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The business of care is becoming more competitive. So how do care provider organizations stand out among the crowd? They do so, according to Sharon Brothers, MSW, by building their employees into expert caregivers.

Brothers, the president and founder of the Institute for Professional Care Education, an OnCourse Learning company, will present "How to Build Caregiving Experts" from 1:45-3 p.m. CT Oct. 9 at the Home Care Association of America's 2017 Annual Leadership Conference in Austin, Texas.

"An organization's biggest asset is its people," said Brothers, who has more than 30 years of experience in senior care services. "The focus should be on developing an effective training program that creates caregiving experts who provide the highest quality of care."

Brothers has experience as an educator for all levels of staff and has been a developer, owner and operator of dementia care assisted living communities in two states. She has built education programs that thousands of caregivers have studied to build their knowledge.

Attendees will learn how the right training program can:

  • Boost retention
  • Establish your team's expertise
  • Create micro-ladders for career progression

"By developing experts who are motivated to excel and move along a defined career path, organizations can attract and retain the best staff, setting them solidly apart from the competition," Brothers said.
