Military Contract Opportunities for California Small Businesses Get a Huge Boost

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In order to prepare small businesses in California to compete for nearly $3 billion in government contracts, the California Contracting/Acquisition/Procurement  (CCAP) Small Business Expo and Military Industry Days will provide attendees a deep dive into the contracting process and will offer opportunities to ask questions and personally interact with those involved in the contracting process. The event will be held at the Kerr McGee Center in Ridgecrest, California on November 1-2, 2017.

The highlight of the event is the U.S. Navy's Long Range Acquisition Forecast (LRAF) for 2018 presented by the U.S. Navy's Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) operating out of China Lake, California. NAWCWD participation includes a networking session with many of the departments involved in sharing information on contracting opportunities with small businesses and prime contractors.

Saalex Solutions, Inc., an engineering and information technology company based in Camarillo, CA, is supporting CCAP and has signed on as the event's presenting sponsor.  CEO Travis Mack, President and CEO, said, "The CCAP Expo is extremely important for small businesses to participate. It provides an avenue of exposure for small businesses to introduce themselves to the customer and meet with the decision-makers. There is also a good networking component where large businesses doing business in the area meet with small business owners. And most importantly, it's just an amazing time!"

The event is a two-day event, with high profile speakers, including NAWCWD Rear Admiral Commander Brian Corey and NAWCWD Executive Director Joan Johnson. The event is produced by the Ridgecrest Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau. For registration and information, visit www.ccapexpo.com.
