The Whitlock team was formally recognized for its leadership in Microsoft Surface Hub sales at the Microsoft Inspire Conference in Washington, D.C.

RICHMOND, Va., Sept. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Whitlock, a video collaboration company, reports that it received two awards at Microsoft Inspire in July. One for the top U.S. sales and the other for the top global sales partner for the Microsoft Surface Hub. Awards were presented at two different ceremonies during the conference that gathered more than 17,000 attendees.

"We were an early adopter of the Microsoft platform for devices and cloud services," states John Bailey, Whitlock VP of Technology. "This gave us a first mover's advantage to support key enterprise customers. We also adopted these new technologies internally to improve our team collaboration and service delivery to customers both in the US and around the world."

Microsoft announced a Partner First message at Inspire, where they are shifting their sales and marketing strategies to support their top partner channels. Whitlock has been in the audio, video and now UC industry for more than 60 years, and the company is a founding partner of the Global Presence Alliance. This history of strong relationships and global partnerships positions the company for continued support of the Microsoft message.

"Congratulations to Whitlock on being awarded the 2017 top U.S. sales and top global sales partner for Surface Hub. Microsoft relies on innovative partners like Whitlock to drive Windows 10 and Surface Hub value in all our customer accounts," said Margaret Arakawa, General Manager, U.S. Windows & Devices at Microsoft Corp.

In addition to winning awards and being designated as a Modern Workplace Partner, Whitlock also earned an upgraded status from a U.S. member to a global one, joining the Microsoft Multinational Partner Network (MPN).

"Our customers are looking for one partner to procure, integrate and manage their technology solutions globally," explains Julian Phillips, Whitlock EVP. "With this new status, we can expand our delivery capability to existing customers around the world. We are proud of our growth and the strong partnership with Microsoft."

This week in Durham, Whitlock is hosting its Vibe Roadshow on the future of work, with Microsoft featuring its new devices and delivering the event's keynote. Learn more at http://www.whitlock.com/events/vibe-durham-northcarolina/.
