PDI Healthcare Introduces Newest Product at APIC 2017, Featuring Proprietary ACCELOQUAT™ Technology
PDI Hosts Educational Session, Celebrates 10th Annual 'Extravaganza' with Local Food Truck Fare

ORANGEBURG, N.Y., June 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- PDI, a leader in infection prevention products and solutions, today announced it will host the first demonstration of its newest product at the 2017 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Annual Conference. PDI will also lead an educational symposium, as well as celebrate its 10th annual 'Extravaganza,' at the largest educational forum for infection prevention and epidemiology professionals, kicking off in Portland, Ore. from June 14-16.

In exhibitor booth #917, PDI will showcase its Sani-Cloth® Prime Germicidal Disposable Wipe and Sani-Prime™ Germicidal Spray, which are powered by ACCELOQUAT technology, a compatible next-generation formulation featuring a proprietary blend of quaternary ammonium, isopropyl alcohol and ethanol. Also featured in the booth will be the "We Fight For You" championship ring. In recognition of their critical role in preventing infections, APIC attendees will have the chance to be photographed with an infection prevention championship belt and interviewed by the ringside "sports reporter."

PDI's educational symposium is approved for one continuing education credit for nursing from the CA State Board of Registered Nursing. On June 15 from 6:45 to 8:15 a.m., world-renowned infection prevention thought leader Dr. William A. Rutala will present a session entitled "What's New? Strategies for Healthcare Environment Infection Prevention." The session will review the role of the environment in disease transmission, discuss products and practices for surface disinfection and present data surrounding technologies for terminal and continuous room decontamination. Additionally, PDI's Prevantics® Device Swab will be featured in a poster presented by Michigan-based hospital McLaren Greater Lansing, titled "Sustaining Over Two Years of Zero Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections with a Multidisciplinary Team Focus and Phased Interventions."
