Carson Institutional Alliance Doubles Down on Advisor Growth: Announces New Platform Capabilities and Key Additions to Leadership Team

OMAHA, Neb., May 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Carson Institutional Alliance, a growth-focused partnership designed to make the complex simple for advisors, today announced at their semi-annual Partner Summit in Las Vegas the firm's recent momentum, advisor growth, and strategic moves propelling the firm forward.

Ron Carson, Founder and CEO of Carson Group

"The first half 2017 has proven to be extremely transformative," said Ron Carson, Founder and CEO of Carson Group, which consists of wealth management firm Carson Wealth, advisor coaching organization Peak Advisor Alliance, and turnkey integrated partner Carson Institutional Alliance. "We've made significant strides in helping our advisors deliver an exceptional client experience by adding seamless technology, specialized experts, and an expanded service offering. We continue to innovate our partnership and platform to align with our purpose of being the most trusted in financial advice – and the response and growth from our advisor community couldn't be more encouraging."

Advisor Growth and Firm Expansion

The key strategic partners announced by the firm in the first quarter of 2017 have further strengthened the advisor offering and opened the door for growth in all areas of the company. Carson Institutional Alliance has more than doubled its total assets under advisement* to $8.5 billion over the past three years and more than tripled the number of Partner advisor firms in its community, with offices in 52 locations across the country. The most recent addition includes RZ Wealth, managing $250M, led by Irvin Rosenzweig, a 2013 Barron's Top 1000 Advisor out of Wayne, Pennsylvania, bringing Carson Institutional Alliance's year-to-date new asset growth to more than $730M AUA.

Carson Institutional Alliance Partner firms have experienced growth first-hand as a result of the resources and technology available to them, expanding their businesses anywhere from three to eight times the industry average rate, over the same three-year period. Also showcased at the Partner Summit was Carson Institutional Alliance's unveiling of the next generation of their technology platform, which equips advisors with a backend window into client behavior and risk tolerance through a data-centric dashboard while also empowering end clients on the front end with a seamless end-to-end digital experience, featuring a new digital onboarding solution, a modern user interface with online account opening capabilities, and an account aggregation tool.

Additions to Executive and Leadership Teams

In addition to growing its advisor community and innovative platform, Carson Institutional Alliance also attracted a number of key hires to lead strategy and execution in several areas aimed to enrich the advisor experience and, by extension, the services offered to advisor clients. Scott Conroy joined Carson Group as Managing Partner of Strategic Relationships, where he'll build and lead a Relationship Management team to support the organic and inorganic growth efforts associated with all strategic partners of Carson Institutional Alliance. Along with Conroy, the firm has ramped up its Business Development team in response to the growing interest in its services, brought on new talent within its technology and development teams to innovate, and continued its growth within the trading and operations teams for ongoing advisor support. As a firm, Carson Group has grown substantially in size, from 77 internal stakeholders in 2014 to 118 stakeholders currently, adding key professionals, and thought leaders in the realms of portfolio management, macro strategy, marketing, compliance, technology, operations, and leadership.

"We look at the remainder of 2017 with an optimistic attitude and opportunistic eye," said Aaron Schaben, Managing Partner of Carson Institutional Alliance. "Every strategic leap we make as a firm starts with direct feedback and bottoms-up innovation from our partners. Their growth is driven by their clear focus on delivering a great client experience, which positions us favorably in an ever-evolving – and demanding – landscape."
