The lecture will focus on the payment models under which population health becomes financially viable for providers. Providers revenue can be categorized as at risk, from Fee for Service based low-value care, protected, which means sustainable in both Fee for Service and Pay for Value payment models, and uncaptured. Uncaptured revenue such as that generated by population health initiatives, becomes viable in value-based arrangements.
