Postgres Vision 2017 Announces Call for Papers
Premier open source data management event invites open source community and practitioner participation through speaker proposals

BOSTON, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Postgres Vision 2017, the preeminent event for thought leadership, collaboration, and networking with the best and brightest companies defining the future of enterprise Postgres and open source data management, today announced an open call for papers. Postgres Vision 2017 will take place June 26-28, 2017 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel, located on the left bank of the Charles River. 

Postgres Vision 2017 is an international conference for technology and industry visionaries to explore the future of enterprise Postgres, open source, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The event will feature major figures in technology and government, thought leaders from across the open source ecosystem, and leading developers from the PostgreSQL Community. The agenda will include keynote sessions, informational panels, and presentations delivered across four tracks: business; open source community; DevOps; and technical workshops.

"Postgres Vision is unique in providing a venue for exploring how open source has fundamentally changed the enterprise, and the opportunities that lie ahead for business leaders and developers," said Bruce Momjian, Senior Database Architect, EnterpriseDB and co-founder and Core Team Member of the PostgreSQL Global Development Group.

The call for papers seeks individual presentations and panel discussions for the open source community and developer tracks. Practitioners are encouraged to submit proposals on such Postgres and related topics as successful enterprise deployments; data integration projects; cloud projects; best practices; continuous development and DevOps; development efforts with open source; and favorite features or capabilities.

Postgres Vision presentations will be 30-45 minutes, including a question and answer period. The deadline to submit is March 17, 2017. Submissions should be sent via email to cfp@postgresvision.com.

Please include:

     1.       The title of your presentation; 
     2.       A description of the content of your presentation, including five key audience takeaways; 
     3.       The target audience (beginner, intermediate, advanced);  
     4.       The name, title, corporate affiliation if applicable, and contact information for all presenters.

A committee comprised of leaders from the Postgres community, both business and development, will make the final selection. Presenters will receive free admission to Postgres Vision 2017.
