"Diversity within key industries brings more creativity, innovation, and better financial results. We need a larger and more diverse group of professional engineers in the United States, yet half the population is not approaching the field," says Suzanne Deffree, Content Director for ESC and moderator of the Women in Engineering panel. "In this panel discussion and networking session, we will explore professional opportunitiesfor women in engineering, the reasons why women represent less than 12% of engineers, and our panelists' successes and challenges in engineer-driven careers."
