These events give five innovative security solutions providers each 15-minutes to engage in rapid-fire Q&A with a panel of 12-15 Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs). Vendors have the opportunity to articulate their value and differentiators as executive buyers evaluate their solutions based on innovation, ease of implementation and value to the enterprise.
After participating in a previous Security Shark Tank, DocuSign CISO Vanessa Pegueros said: "The Security Shark Tank provides a forum for security leaders to hear questions and concerns from their peers. With so many options for security tools, it is extremely valuable to hear the variety of perspectives on what is most pressing to address in today's threat environment."
James Beeson, GE Capital Americas CISO, will serve as the host and moderator for the Chicago event. He is joined by executive advisors Rajesh David, GE Capital director of information security and architecture, and Fred Kwong, Delta Dental CISO.
Matt Hollcraft, Maxim Integrated CISO, will serve as the host and moderator for the Cupertino event. He is joined by executive advisors Justin Somaini, SAP CSO, and Paul Calatayud, Surescripts CISO.
Participating vendors find value in the opportunity to engage with CISO buyers.
"Security Shark Tank put our head of sales in front of the sharpest security executives in the industry, with their full attention. We've already put multiple new opportunities into the pipeline, and the return on investment looks very strong," said Rick Caccia, chief marketing officer for Exabeam. "I recommend Security Shark Tank to any sales and marketing teams that want to get their message in front of actual buyers in an efficient and effective manner."
ASRC Federal CISO Darren Death said CISOs benefit from the opportunity to engage with peers and learn about new technology.
"Security Shark Tank was an excellent opportunity for CISOs, providing exposure to multiple vendors in a rapid-fire format. Having so many qualified CISOs participate in the event allowed for some fantastic question and answer sessions," Death said. "The diversity of thought leadership in the room brought by CISOs from so many industry sectors is really difficult to find in any other format. I personally was able to discover some new vendors that I am interested in continuing a conversation with because of Security Shark Tank."
Security Current is accepting applications for CISO Sharks and participating vendors for both Chicago and Cupertino, as well as the annual Security Shark Tank event held in San Francisco during the RSA Conference each year.
