Edmodo to Host Sixth Annual EdmodoCon on August 2-3rd, Elevating Global Learning with Educators from around the World

SAN MATEO, Calif., Aug. 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- On August 2nd, educators from around the world will join the largest online educational conference, EdmodoCon, for a free full day of professional development and inspiration. Currently in its sixth year, EdmodoCon empowers teachers to use digital tools to personalize learning and will expand on the power of connections within education to create a globally competent classroom. Participants are invited to witness how Edmodo transcends traditional classroom and school borders by allowing teachers to go from local to global.

EdmodoCon is a live online global event where educators from around the world connect with each other to share how they're using Edmodo and other digital tools to personalize learning. This year, Edmodo welcomes Karen Cator, President, and CEO of Digital Promise, as the opening keynote. Karen will discuss how technology in learning can bridge the digital learning gap and the benefits of access and equity at scale to unleash student achievement as students prepare for college. Edmodo and Digital Promise have recently partnered to develop and provide micro-credentials that will enhance the range of options for professional learning for teachers. The event will also feature a special announcement from Edmodo's new VP of Product, Ved Sinha during which he will share Edmodo's exclusive product update for back to school and the importance of technology in education.

EdmodoCon facilitates idea sharing and collaboration among some of the world's most technologically advanced educators.
