Johnson & Johnson's Ghadeer Al Yacoub Receives "PwC 2016 Leadership in Promoting Ethical Behavior in Medtech Industry" Award at Global Medtech Conference

NEW YORK, May 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC today announced the recipient of the 2016 PwC Award for Leadership in the Advancement of Ethics in the Medical Device Industry – Ghadeer Al Yacoub, Regional Healthcare Compliance Officer, Turkey, Middle East & Africa Johnson & Johnson, Medical Device & Consumer. Presented annually by PwC, the award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the advancement of ethics and ethical behavior in the medical device and diagnostics industry.

For the first time in the history of PwC's Ethics in MedTech awards, PwC also presented the small company compliance achievement in the MedTech Industry award to Ken Reali, president & CEO, Clinical Innovations, Inc.

This year's awards were presented at the 2016 Global MedTech Compliance Conference (GMTCC) in Dublin, Ireland.

Ken Reali serves as the voice of small medtech companies on the Board Committee on Ethics and Healthcare Compliance at AdvaMed (the Advanced Medical Technology Association), and presented on the value of compliance to investors during GMTCC's first global compliance training program for small companies.

The PwC Awards for Leadership in the Advancement of Ethics in the Medical Device Industry are conducted in cooperation with the industry organizations AdvaMed and MedTech Europe.  "This award is meant to highlight those individuals who are on the cutting edge of advancing ethics in the Med Tech industry. Both Ken and Ghadeer are model representatives of game-changers within the industry," said Christopher White, senior executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of AdvaMed. Members of these two groups submitted nominations for the annual award program.  This year's winners were chosen by a vote of past winners.
