2015 ASLA Firm Award Awarded to The Office of James Burnett

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Office of James Burnett (OJB) was honored November 9th with the 2015 ASLA Firm Award. This prestigious award is the highest honor the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) may bestow upon a landscape architecture firm, in recognition of distinguished and influential work. The award was presented last night in Chicago at the 2015 ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO President's Dinner by the ASLA Board of Trustees. This event is the largest gathering of landscape architecture professionals and students in the world, bringing them together to gain perspective, establish new connections, and honor and recognize key players in the industry.

The Office of James Burnett, recipient of the 2015 ASLA Firm Award, created a collection of museum-quality garden spaces that invite discovery and contemplation in every season at the 9-acre Sunnylands Center & Gardens in Rancho Mirage, California.

OJB Founder and President, James Burnett, FASLA, said, "Receiving this award is an incredible honor for our firm and we are delighted to join the impressive list of past recipients for this distinction. I credit our extraordinary team and their passion for creating thoughtful and beautiful landscape compositions that challenge the status quo. As a firm we are constantly learning from each other, expanding our dialogue and overcoming constraints in new and interesting ways. This award is a testament to our incredible clients, who share our visions and have given us outstanding commissions for over 26 years."

OJB was founded in 1989, and the firm's growth and evolution has made it one of the most sought-after thought leaders on landscape design and urban planning in the country. The firm is celebrating 26 years of award-winning landscape design work, garnering more than 80 noteworthy design awards across all three OJB offices.
