FreightPOP grows team and product capabilities, announces the appointment of new board member Brad Perry

LAKE FOREST, Calif., March 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- FreightPOP announces today at the MODEX supply chain conference that during its recent growth phase, it has appointed Brad Perry as a new board member and strategic advisor to the company along with the addition of other seasoned team members. FreightPOP will also be introducing a number of exciting new features that will streamline and simplify the shipping process.

Brad Perry, who is also an investor in the company, has joined the company after a long and successful career at DealerSocket, where he served as both CTO and CPO for the company he co-founded. Brad brings technical and business expertise to FreightPOP at the company's growth phase.

"I'm excited to support the team that is bringing one-click logistics to enterprises around the world. FreightPOP's platform is building raving fans who want to streamline and digitize their supply chain, and become even more customer-centric," says Perry.

FreightPOP also added new team members in sales, engineering, and customer success to keep up with the company's growth.

Leading to FreightPOPs popularity is the development of a number of industry-leading features valued by enterprise companies and SMBs alike. Some of these features include:

Low  Parcel Rates From Partners
FreightPOP has entered into a relationship with one of the world's largest parcel shippers to offer negotiated rates to its customers, saving up to 45% on shipping spend. These rates can be seen alongside the customers' own rates, so they can choose the best rates and delivery dates available for their needs.

Load/Package Optimization
FreightPOP's load optimization feature shows the best way to organize boxes, cases or other packaging into the most cost-effective configuration for a pallet or container. Customers are saving thousands of dollars each month by consolidating packages and optimizing orders.

Multi-leg, Inbound and 3rd party in transit reporting
Widely anticipated, these features allow customers to plan better for unexpected delays that may occur in the "black box" of stages of the supply chain that were previously in multiple systems, including the accounts of suppliers. Knowing when parts or other inputs may be late can help reduce logistics risks for FreightPOP's customers.

Auditing
Until now, auditing shipping invoices has been a very laborious and time-intensive task. Failing to audit invoices could result in thousands of dollars of unclaimed shipping errors. Data suggests as much as 15% of invoices contain errors that can now be easily revealed and claimed.

FreightPOP's Co-Founder and COO Doug Henrriquez added, "Our latest features represent two things. 1) Our ongoing commitment to enable any business that ships parcel or freight to digitize their entire supply chain and 2) Our pledge to help businesses ship smarter and easier."
