Chicago Conference Features Panel Discussion on Autism and Autoimmunity with Emphasis on Type 1/1.5 Diabetes
AutismOne 2020 Conference hosts first-ever autism and diabetes panel at a major autism conference on Friday, May 22, 2020.

LOS ANGELES, March 9, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AutismOne today announced the first-ever autism and diabetes panel at a major autism conference. On Friday, May 22, six renowned presenters will participate in a panel discussing autism and autoimmunity, with an emphasis on type 1/1.5 diabetes.

Geri Brewster, RD, MPH, CDN, moderator of the panel, will make opening remarks regarding the known risk factors and environmental triggers for type 1 DM and type 1.5 DM, specifying environmental and genetic risk factors, as well as glucokinase deficiency MODY 2 (maturity onset diabetes of the young), often requiring insulin for treatment.

During the panel discussion, moderator Geri Brewster, RD, MPH, CDN, will offer concepts for management of optimal blood sugar regulation, including glucose monitoring, pairing proteins and fats with carbohydrates, and a discussion on the modified Atkins diet for consideration of type 1 individuals with seizure disorders.

Dr. Richard Deth will discuss A1 beta-casein and its relationship to type 1 diabetes and the comparison of exposure to it in early childhood versus human milk that contains only A2 beta-casein. Epigenetic imprinting and immune and metabolic lifelong consequences will be presented.

Dr. Stephanie Seneff will discuss the major role of glyphosate in the interactome of cystic fibrosis, celiac disease, diabetes, and autism.

Dr. Marco Ruggiero will discuss gastrointestinal microbiome influences on autism and autoimmune conditions, with an emphasis on GcMAF.

Dr. Judy Mikovits will present case reports from vaccine court of biological theories of causation of type 1 DM stemming from vaccine injury. Susceptibility and molecular biomarkers will be presented to prevent disease progression and restore pathways to homeostasis.

Dr. Arthur Krigsman will present on early gastrointestinal insults that shape immune/autoimmune responses.

Suitable for both parents and practitioners, this panel will take place on the afternoon of Friday, May 22. There will be a Q&A portion included.
