PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J., July 9, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Emerging technologies, such as smart cards and smart manufacturing, will be featured during CardTREX North America and CardTREX Europe this fall, the International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA) announced today.
"As the card industry continues to evolve with new technologies and markets, companies are faced with the challenge of evaluating their strategies for the future," said Jeffrey Barnhart, ICMA founder and executive director. "CardTREX is designed to prepare industry leaders—personalizers, suppliers and manufacturers—for a successful future, driving innovation and profitability. With that in mind, this year's facility tours will explore smart card technology and the production of decorative and functional coatings for bank cards."
CardTREX North America and CardTREX Europe are day-and-a-half conferences that address the regional issues faced by card manufacturers, personalizers and suppliers. Through roundtable discussions, presentations, trend analysis and multiple networking opportunities, CardTREX will educate attendees about the newest trends, technologies and techniques in manufacturing.
CardTREX includes a networking dinner, as well as ICMA's signature Networking Zone and Speed Share session, which are designed to help attendees develop and enhance strategic business relationships. In the Networking Zone, production/operations personnel have a chance to meet with card suppliers and during the Speed Share session, exhibitors will discuss new products.
CardTrex will also offer ICMA's Advanced Card Education (ACE) industry accreditation training and exams. ICMA is a global trade association for card manufacturers, personalizers, issuers and suppliers that has served as an industry resource for 30 years.
ICMA members receive a significant CardTREX registration discount. For more details on these events and to register, visit cardtrex.org.
