National Small Business Week Kicks Off in Washington, D.C. May 5-6
America's top small businesses to be honored for their achievements

WASHINGTON, May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Acting Administrator Chris Pilkerton, the head of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will kick off the 2019 National Small Business Week events in Washington, D.C. on May 5-6. Small business owners, industry leaders and other award winners from around the country will gather in D.C. to be recognized by the SBA for excellence in entrepreneurship, exporting, federal contracting, lending and disaster recovery.

Last month, the SBA announced the 53 State/Territory Small Business Persons of the Year who will compete for the 2019 National Small Business Person of the Year. The National Small Business Person of the Year and runners-up will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday, May 6.

Media are invited to attend all events. Speakers and awardees will be made available for interviews.
