I hope to see you at the HCCA Compliance Institute April 7-10, 2019 in Boston. Demonstrating the growth of our profession, this is the first year the Compliance Institute is being held at a convention center.

Healthcare is a highly complex and regulated industry and it's critical that compliance professionals remain current with what's happening in healthcare to help our organizations remain compliant and mitigate risks. The sessions this year are excellent and they will bring you information directly from the source or from a host of subject matter experts.

There are tracks designed just for you and other tracks available should you wish to learn more about another area of compliance. There are 4 new tracks this year – behavioral health, advanced compliance, case studies, and risk; with other tracks for physician compliance, internal audit, compliance law, auditing and monitoring, post-acute care, privacy and security, quality of care, how to succeed as a compliance professional, discussion groups, and general compliance/hot topics. I'm most excited about the diversity of the general compliance/hot topics track that covers basic compliance programs to new issues encountered in healthcare. Over the 4 days, some of these sessions are on communicating with your board, laboratories, telehealth, metrics, research, value based purchasing, and specific components of compliance programs.

I look forward to seeing you at the CI. Please stop by the HCCA booth, I'd welcome the opportunity to meet you.

- Lori Strauss, President, HCCA Board of Directors
