Preparing BFSI Employees for Digital Co-Workers the Focus of ISG Presentation at Intelligent Automation Conference
January 30 session will spotlight organizational change management for RPA projects

STAMFORD, Conn., Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a leading global technology research and advisory firm, will explore the importance of preparing banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) employees to work with "digital colleagues" at the Intelligent Automation for BFSI conference, January 28–30, at the Andaz Wall Street hotel in New York.

Collette Crenshaw, a principal consultant in ISG's organizational change management (OCM) practice, will present "Organizational Change Management and Leading Change with RPA" in two, thirty-minute interactive sessions the morning of January 30. The presentation will offer a roadmap for managing the transition of work from humans to software bots, and include time for questions and answers.

"Organizational change management is often overlooked in the planning and implementation of robotic process automation (RPA)," said Craig Nelson, a partner in ISG's OCM practice. "However, having an OCM strategy is critical to successfully navigating the changes that occur when robots take over the work of humans and ensuring systems and applications are correctly set up for normal, day-to-day robotic operations."

The ISG session led by Crenshaw will offer best practices for successful robot deployment and cover the key phases of an OCM-driven changeover: transition planning, organizational redesign, operational alignment and communications management. Crenshaw also will discuss how to link an RPA center of excellence with the information technology change management process to prevent unexpected IT changes and subsequent robotic interruptions.

"ISG has worked with many companies to bring automation strategies to life," Crenshaw said. "While the technology ultimately adds efficiencies and benefits the workforce by eliminating repetitive and mundane tasks, especially in the banking, financial services and insurance industries, the initial disruption can be detrimental to morale if the business does not implement a comprehensive and careful organizational change management process. Fortunately, there is a well-defined roadmap for OCM that has proven to be a straightforward and effective way to head off unnecessary delays and distress."

The Intelligent Automation for BFSI conference will provide a comprehensive two-day look at the current and future applications of intelligent automation for banking, financial services and insurance institutions, which are on the leading edge of automation for managing high volumes of daily, global transactions. Attendees will receive valuable guidance on choosing the right automation path for their organizations at every stage of technology planning and implementation.
