Position Imaging To Unveil Groundbreaking iPickup™ Solution In New York
New Hampshire technology firm to demo revolutionary self-service ecommerce fulfillment solution at NRF2019 Retail's Big Show on January 13th

STRATHAM, N.H., Jan. 8, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Position Imaging, a pioneer in the development of tracking technologies, will publicly unveil for the first time its revolutionary iPickup BOPIS and eCommerce fulfillment solution during the upcoming NRF2019 Retail's Big Show at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City.

iPickup streamlines in-store order pickup for customers at retail stores.  The system's proprietary Amoeba™ computer vision technology monitors orders waiting for customer pickup without requiring lockers, robots, or even store associates. It provides a digital breadcrumb trail of every item that goes through the in-store pickup process, reducing the risk of lost or stolen items, and making eCommerce fulfillment easier than ever for customers.

Set to debut at several major national retail stores in 2019, iPickup is poised to revolutionize the BOPIS (Buy Online Pickup In Store) / Click and Collect process by eliminating the need for staffed in-store pickup desks, costly robots and package lockers. The system also has no item size limitations.

"Our focus is to leverage our breakthrough technologies to improve customer experience," Position Imaging CEO Ned Hill says. "Our innovations can change the way we manage goods at retail, providing very accurate, real-time position data of products throughout the pickup process.   Our system empowers all retailers, big-box and boutique, with a cost-effective, scalable, plug-and-play fulfillment solution that best meets its customer's expectations."

The groundbreaking solution, manufactured with the company's hardware partner Hitachi-LD Data Storage, continually tracks the ID and position of every item on its shelves, alerting the customer as soon as an order is ready for pickup. When the customer arrives, they can provide a receipt or order pickup number and intuitive light & audio guidance directs them to the items for pick-up, alarming if the wrong item is taken by mistake.

The solution will be on display at the Position Imaging/Hitachi-LD Data Storage booth at the National Retail Federation's NRF2019 Retail's Big Show Jan. 13-15 at the Javits Center, 655 W 34th St, New York, NY. NRF2019 is the world's largest retail expo featuring 700 exhibitors from 99 countries and 16,000 retailers and attracts more than 37,000 attendees each year.
