TEDWomen 2018 Conference Opens in Palm Springs
Annual event is themed "Showing Up," will feature 40+ TED Talks and performances

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Nov. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- TED, the nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, opens its TEDWomen 2018 conference today at La Quinta Resort and Club in Palm Springs, Calif. Themed "Showing Up," the event will feature a live program of more than 40 speakers and performers over three days. TED will broadcast the TED Talks in real time to more than 200 simultaneous TEDxWomen events held in more than 68 countries in 177 cities around the world.

TEDWomen will feature sessions curated and hosted by TED curatorial staff and members of the TED community, including Pat Mitchell, Helen Walters, Kelly Stoetzel, Hank Willis Thomas, Deborah Willis, Jess Search and Manoush Zomorodi.  Speakers will include an international array of experts and thinkers representing a wide range of disciplines, from art and design to technology and business. Talks delivered in Palm Springs will be streamed live to several thousand people watching around the globe at more than 200 independently organized TEDxWomen events in 177 cities in more than 68 countries.
