Cannabis Industry Supports WeedCon 2018 and Nonprofit Safety Harbor Kids

OJAI, Calif., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- WPI -- On Friday, October 26th, the World Entrepreneurs Economic Development Conference (WeedCon) hosted cannabis industry leaders for a B2B Expo and networking event in Ojai, CA.  The event was sponsored by Ojai Greens Dispensary, LA Kush, Kushy Punch, District Edibles and Chong's Choice.  WeedCon 2018 included exhibitors, live music and a five-course dinner with The Herbal Chef, Chris Sayegh

The event was held on a perfect Indian summer day with majestic views of the surrounding mountains. Exhibitors including Flow Kana, Sol Spirit Farm, Brass Knuckles OG, BR Merchant Solutions, Big Pete's Treats, Punch Edibles, Maven and Candescent assembled their products for display in a tree lined courtyard as hundreds of attendees descended upon the event.

The live music opened with the California Cowgirl Olivia Pierce, followed by blues sensation Theresa James and After the Smoke. Guests enjoyed face painting by Work of Heart, pictures with Shutter Bus and drinks by Charles and Company Tea.

After a presentation of the 2018 WeedCon Cup awards for Best Flower to BareRoots Farms, LA Lush and Cali Kush, National Recording pop singer EL-JAY performed new hit single "My Bae Remix ft with Shorty Mack followed by the colorful Groove Session and Shakey Feelin. 

Other exhibitors included Nugg, Heavy Hitters, Vet CBD, Papa&Barkley, Refined Hydrocarbon Solutions, Pure Vape, Botanical Veterinary Solutions, Smojo Permanent Smoking Screen, Mary Jane Services Network, Kiva, Marys Medicinals, Boku Super Foods and nonprofit, Safety Harbor Kids. 

The cannabis community gives back in many ways including helping disadvantaged children.  "It is great that WeedCon is supporting Safety Harbor Kids – these children need our help," said LA Kush COO, Trinity Anderson who donated several bears for parentless children for the holidays.

California legalized cannabis for adults over age 21 but it is up to cities to approve cannabis use locally.  Cannabis products include the non-psychoactive CBD products treating ailments including insomnia, nervousness, pain caused by inflammation, nausea and cancer.
