Having first announced Skip Gen IVI at CES 2016, Panasonic and Google are working together to create auto-grade intent infotainment capabilities drawing upon specialized expertise from both companies. At only 30 months since Skip Gen was first introduced, four versions of the Android OS have been successfully integrated into a Panasonic reference infotainment system. At the annual Google I/O conference this week, Google demoed the latest Android P automotive features, as well as Google applications designed for automotive use, all running on the latest Skip Generation (Skip Gen) IVI.
