The four inductees will be recognized for their outstanding achievements in science, technology, engineering and math at the U.S. News STEM Solutions Presents Workforce of Tomorrow conference, scheduled for April 4-6 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
This year's conference will focus on the theme of "Skills, Jobs & the New Collar Economy," highlighting ideas to ensure that employers can find the talent they need to compete in a time of exponential technological change. Sessions will cover topics such as building effective workforce partnerships and policies, understanding and adapting to the new world of new collar jobs and how educators are innovating to fill the jobs pipeline.
The newest inductees to the U.S. News STEM Leadership Hall of Fame are:

Past recipients have included Ursula Burns (Chairman of Xerox Corporation), Norman R. Augustine (Former Chairman and CEO of Lockheed Martin), Maria Klawe (President of Harvey Mudd College), Ioannis N. Miaoulis (President and Director of the Museum of Science, Boston) and Ellen Ochoa (Director of NASA's Johnson Space Center).
The Hall of Fame awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 5, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. After the awards presentation, Brian Kelly will lead a discussion with the new honorees about improving STEM education and workforce development with an eye toward the jobs of the future.
New this year, Workforce of Tomorrow has partnered with the STEM Funders Network's STEM Learning Ecosystems Initiative and the USA Science & Engineering Festival to champion the STEM cause by incorporating real-world perspectives from the industry leaders, educators, nonprofits, parents and students who are a part of those efforts.
