NEW YORK, Oct. 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Deloitte today announced its latest roadmap for new Deloitte Reimagine Platform solutions, developed through a co-innovation relationship with SAP and based on the SAP® Leonardo digital innovation system. "Since SAP unveiled SAP Leonardo at this year's SAPPHIRE NOW & ASUG Annual Conference and announced Deloitte as the launch partner, both organizations have mobilized to bring clients the best of both worlds," said Jim Moffatt, head of Deloitte Global Consulting. "While SAP provides digital innovation capabilities to help organizations run simple, Deloitte brings industry sector leadership combined with digital, business transformation experience, all strengthened by market-leading strategy, operations, technology and human capital capabilities. The result of our collaboration is the Deloitte Reimagine Platform."

The latest version of the Deloitte Reimagine Platform roadmap serves as a release schedule for upcoming Deloitte use cases for SAP Leonardo — to help organizations reimagine new business capabilities and to begin building a bridge between "operating and innovating." As of October 2017, with 51 use cases across finance, the supply chain, customer engagement and talent, the roadmap provides concrete mileposts that enterprise leaders can use to plan their transformation initiatives while also addressing business disruption. Also, with 14 uses cases available now, businesses can start immediately.

Enterprise leaders will be able to explore use cases in person Nov. 2-3, 2017, at SAP Leonardo Live in Chicago, where Deloitte will demonstrate a number of applications, including a sensor-enabled cold chain use case that can help businesses monitor and manage temperature and humidity changes when shipping sensitive products. Another use case — a  "smart tap" solution — will showcase the use of liquid flow sensors to monitor and analyze marketing campaigns, trade promotions, and inventory management in real time.

"Deloitte has been helping clients deploy IoT, machine learning and advanced analytics solutions for several years," said Jan Waals, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and global SAP leader. "That experience gives us a head start on innovation, providing a library of uses cases that we are 'replatforming' onto SAP Leonardo. Because SAP deeply understands how integrated digital technologies can enable the enterprise, we have been able to enhance existing use cases and create new scenarios that were not possible before SAP Leonardo."

The roadmap for the Deloitte Reimagine Platform directly aligns with and complements the vision for SAP Leonardo innovation — a well-defined plan that considers any and all interdependencies. Essentially, the roadmap allows organizations across all industries to explore the art of the possible for rapidly modernizing the enterprise, supported by a close co-innovation relationship between Deloitte and SAP.

"The roadmap for the Deloitte Reimagine Platform is more than a release schedule. It's the result of close collaboration between SAP and Deloitte Consulting to determine how far and how fast SAP customers can go with capabilities enabled by SAP Leonardo and Deloitte Consulting," said Mala Anand, president of SAP Leonardo, Data & Insights at SAP. "Business leaders today understand that they need to innovate at scale. This roadmap gives them the ability to see down the road and to plan for tomorrow's realities — knowing what solutions they will have at their disposal and how they can use them."

Beyond the roadmap, Deloitte plans to launch a global network of virtual studios focused on the Deloitte Reimagine Platform — to provide SAP customers with an up-close, in-person view of how they can modernize operations and innovate at scale with SAP Leonardo. Deloitte also is developing an app that can help customers explore SAP Leonardo solutions, related Deloitte Reimagine Platform offerings, and use cases.

"We are just getting started. We have a wide-ranging pipeline of new use cases that include machine learning for tax and intelligent inventory optimization that can elevate the value of IBP — as well as several other use cases. Furthermore, SAP customers have approached us with co-innovation use cases, and we have several pilots in flight," said Darwin Deano, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, and Deloitte chief Leonardo officer.
