Twistlock To Feature Automated Jenkins Security for Container Environments at Jenkins World 2017
Twistlock's Plug-in for Jenkins on Display at Booth #112; Complementary Jenkins Webinar Explores How to Achieve DevOps Speed with CISO Control

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- JENKINS WORLD – Booth #112 – Twistlock, the leading provider of cloud container security solutions, today announced the Twistlock plug-in for Jenkins will be on display at Jenkins World, the annual gathering of DevOps practitioners using open source Jenkins. At booth #112, Twistlock will spotlight its functionality for container environments to automate compliance and vulnerability checks in Jenkins. The conference, held at the Marriott Marquis, is the largest gathering of Jenkins users in the world and is a multi-day event comprised of sessions, workshops, training and other learning opportunities.

"Jenkins enables development teams to deliver software faster," said John Morello, CTO, Twistlock. "To prevent containers with high-risk vulnerabilities or compliance violations making it to production, it's important to integrate automated compliance and vulnerability monitoring that can check, alert on and fail builds. This will reduce overall risk and time spent on security checks. Twistlock is helping organizations automate security directly in Jenkins."

Visitors to Twistlock's Jenkins World booth #112 will see demos of Twistlock 2.1, the latest release of Twistlock's flagship product – complete with automated security capabilities for Jenkins. When it comes to compliance enforcement and alerting in Jenkins, Twistlock supports the ability to alert on and enforce vulnerability thresholds during the continuous integration process via its native Jenkins plugin. For example, users can create a rule in Twistlock, such as, "fail the build if a medium or higher vulnerability is discovered" or simply warn developers about security problems while showing them a detailed graphical summary of their vulnerabilities directly in the Jenkins user interface.

In addition to Twistlock's plug-in for Jenkins, the recently announced Twistlock 2.1 includes a first of its kind cloud native app firewall, vulnerability risk ranking that uses knowledge of an enterprise's unique environment to prioritize what to fix first, a brand new dashboard and integrated secrets management based on Twistlock's latest work in the Docker open source project.

"Jenkins World is the perfect place to spotlight Twistlock's automated Jenkins security capabilities for container environments," said Kohsuke Kawaguchi, CTO of CloudBees and founder of the Jenkins project.

In complement to the Jenkins World activity, Twistlock produced a webinar in which attendees can see the Twistlock Plug-in for Jenkins in action and learn how Twistlock integrates directly into Jenkins to improve organizations' risk and compliance posture without slowing down development.
