Epson to Participate and Present at TLMI printTHINK Summit
Epson to Moderate Session Addressing Bringing Digital Inkjet into Label and Packaging Shops

LONG BEACH, Calif., Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --

Who:

Epson will be participating in the upcoming TLMI printTHINK Summit in Chicago that brings TLMI (Tag and Label Manufacturers Institute) members and non-members together to support the needs of converters' operational, technical and business staff. The Summit offers 15 sessions with concentrated content in five major areas – color management, future of operations, inkjet, UV vs. LED, and workflow.

What:

Epson will be participating in a session that looks at bringing digital inkjet into a label and packaging shop. Titled, "You bought inkjet… now what?," the seminar covers the unexpected effects new inkjet technology has on different aspects of a converter's business, and addresses some of the less obvious adjustments needed in areas such as pre-press, at the operator level, in the sales team, in finishing, and in shipping and billing. The following four key questions will be addressed in the session:

  1. What changes to your business did you experience that were unanticipated?
  2. How did you adjust to them?
  3. How did the bottlenecks shift in sales, production and admin?
  4. How were the staffing/ skill sets needed for digital different than you expected?

The session will be moderated by Victor Gomez, group product manager Americas, Labels, Epson America, Inc. and member of the TLMI technical committee, and will include a panel of three converters who have gone through the process:

-       Steve Middleton, Middleton Printing from Grand Rapids, Mich. and owner of two Epson SurePress® digital label presses

-       Adam Gray, SheetLabels.com from Glens Falls, N.Y.

-       Ryan Reding, WS Packaging Group from Dallas, Tex., and also speaking at the Digital Hybrid session

When:

The Summit runs from Sept. 5-7, 2017. The "You bought inkjet… now what?" session will be held Thursday, Sept. 7 from 9-10:30 a.m.

Where:

Hyatt Regency O'Hare, Chicago
