Reproductive Partners Fertility Center – San Diego, UC San Diego Health, and Spain's Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad are hosting the four-day event on Coronado. The conference is often recognized as the most successful postgraduate IVF course in the world. It's formally known as In Vitro Fertilization and Embryo Transfer: A Comprehensive Update.

Speakers will focus on emerging research findings, current Assisted Productive Technology (ART) science and clinical best practices. Special honorees include two IVF innovators. World-renowned stem cell scientist Alan Trounson and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) pioneer Dr. Gianpiero Palmermo are scheduled speakers.

"Year after year, the information shared at this conference sets treatment standards and improves success rates at fertility centers across the nation and beyond," notes Reproductive Partners founder and Co-Scientific Director Dr. David Meldrum. "The impact of the summit is enormous and the expertise of the speakers is unsurpassed. We're delighted to be an integral part of it."

Meldrum organized the first 'Update' thirty years ago. The event doubled in size last year when it moved to San Diego from the original venue in Santa Barbara. In addition to Dr. Meldrum, four other physicians from Reproductive Partners will be presenting and include: Medical Director Dr. Gabriel Garzo, Co-Scientific Director Dr. William Schoolcraft, Dr. Antoni Duleba who is also Division Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at UC San Diego, and Dr. Irene Su, who is also a UC San Diego Fertility Preservation Researcher.

Reproductive Partners, located in La Jolla, leads the way in establishing high standards for success and safety during ART treatment (https://www.fertilityclinicsandiego.com). Their fertility specialists are experiencing phenomenal success with single embryo transfer, a procedure that can virtually eliminate twin pregnancies for IVF patients. Their rate of single embryo transfers is among the highest in the nation.
