Financial Growth: Aprima experienced record revenue and EBITDA (excluding one-time costs related to moving) year-over-year. A solid 97+ percent customer retention rate has helped Aprima maintain and expand recurring revenue.

New Headquarters: Aprima has grown its footprint to 55,000 sq. ft. while unifying all its North Texas employees under one roof in a new Richardson, TX headquarters. The new headquarters initially houses about 275 workers and includes room for headcount growth. Headcount is expected to grow by 20 percent in the coming year, on pace with each of the past five years.

HDS Acquisition: Former reseller Healthcare Data Solutions (HDS) of Coral Gables, FL was acquired by Aprima in January 2017. As part of the agreement, Aprima assumed support for HDS's customers, which include approximately 125 medical practices across 15 states. This acquisition included adding talented support, marketing and engineering headcount.

KLAS RCM recognition: Aprima earned high ratings for its RCM services in a KLAS® specialty report, titled "Ambulatory Billing Services 2016," released on October 13, 2016. The company received the highest ratings among competitors for its management of the claims denials process and for taking the RCM partnership "to the next level." Clients participating in this report emphasized Aprima's ability to "enhance the customer experience by helping customers streamline billing processes to drive efficiency."

New partnerships with Surescripts, ActX: Aprima entered into new partnerships with 3rd party products such as ActX, and expanded current ones including working even more closely with Surescripts®, to increase the value of Aprima EHR to its customer base. In addition to electronic prescribing solutions, Aprima users now have access to Surescripts' Electronic Prior Authorization (ePA), Direct Messaging, as well as its National Record Locator Service. Aprima's partnership with ActX will provide Aprima clients with access to genomics in everyday patient care and delivers clinically actionable insights that facilitate personalized medication and screening choices based on a patient's unique genetic profile.

Product advancements: Aprima introduced several enhancements to its product offerings in fiscal 2017 including:

  • Spanish-language functionality in the Aprima Patient Portal
  • Chronic care management (CCM) tools to help physicians more easily document, bill, and be reimbursed for services
  • New functionality for Aprima Mobile, including electronic prescribing and charge capture
  • NCQA PCMH Prevalidation designation status, which benefits practices seeking PCMH recognition by reducing the administrative and quality reporting burdens of meeting program requirements
  • During this past fiscal year, Aprima launched a credentialing service to assist practices with their new and ongoing credentialing needs
  • American College of Phlebology named Aprima a Certified ACP PRO Venous Registry EHR Vendor

Aprima User Conference: Aprima showcased MACRA/MIPS readiness at its 2016 User Conference in August. Over 800 healthcare and healthcare IT professionals participated in educational, networking, and charitable opportunities at Aprima's 7th annual event. For the first time, Aprima's 2017 User Conference will offer CME credits for participants, delivering additional value to customer attendees.

"Aprima continues on an ambitious trajectory of growth related to revenue, user base and reputation for customer satisfaction," said Michael Nissenbaum, president and CEO of Aprima. "We are proud of our accomplishments in fiscal 2017, and look forward to the exciting developments in queue for fiscal 2018. We know that we must continue delivering exemplary service, developing innovative new products, and most importantly, listening to our clients and anticipating their future needs."
