COLUMBIA, Md., May. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Tresys Technology today announced that it has received certification from the U.S. Government that enables its cross-domain solution, XD Guardian, to be exported under the Commerce Department's Export Administration Regulations (EAR) rather than the Department of State's International Trafficking in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which cover defense articles on the U.S. Munitions List. The new EAR classification will simplify and speed the fulfillment of orders for XD Guardian.
XD Guardian, a cross-domain appliance, is currently being sponsored through the rigorous Secret and Below Interoperability (SABI) certification process as part of a U.S. Department of Defense program. SABI certification is expected to complete the third quarter of this year.
When complete, XD Guardian will be the only cross-domain solution that is certified against the U.S. Government's most rigorous cross-domain security standard and can be exported without an export license from the U.S. State Department.
