Ingenious Construction Participates in BuiltWorlds Summit 2017
Ingenious Construction (iCON), a local start-up in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) tech field, had a booth at the BuiltWorlds Summit 2017

CHICAGO, May 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingenious Construction (iCON), a local start-up in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) tech field, had a booth at the BuiltWorlds Summit 2017 at the Wit Hotel in downtown Chicago, May 3-5. BuiltWorlds is one of the largest gatherings of the construction industry's companies, startups, and strategists for C-Level Executives.

"BuiltWorlds comes on the heels of our win at Bisnow's CRE Shark Tank," explained iCON CEO Nick Carter. At the Shark Tank event, iCON beat out other startups in the CRE field. "We feel like we're really gathering some momentum and it was great to connect with even more people at Built Worlds."

The Summit featured keynotes, panels, breakout sessions, and networking for attendees on topics ranging from disruptive technology to global urbanization and how the millennial workforce is changing the industry. Over 200 leaders in the field attended the event.

iCON showcased its mobile, cloud-based platform, which uses real-time data and cross-team collaboration to help professionals in the AEC industry to integrate data and tasks to reduce inefficiencies and cut costs. "The real problem with our industry is it's still focused on old processes that are based off documents. Our apps focus on data; therefore, we can streamline everything from managing architects, equipment maintenance and placing bids to managing payroll," said Carter.

This suite of apps can be adapted to meet the needs of players across the construction industry, from developers to architects. "We loved the excitement that we received at the BuiltWorlds conference and we continue to be invited to more events, which helps our market exposure," Carter said.
