Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo™ Renews Contract With AXS

HOUSTON, April 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo renews its contract with AXS, following a successful 2017 Show. The 2018 show will mark the fourth year working with AXS and its ticketing system.

The 2017 Show set an attendance record of 2,611,176, just two years after setting the previous record. The milestone comes with a six percent increase over 2016.

"Year after year we continue to reach new heights with the Show, and 2017 couldn't have gone any better," said AXS CEO, Bryan Perez. "The continued growth of the event speaks to the amazing talent and we are proud to be partners with such an important Houston institution."

Taking place March 7-26, the three week rodeo and music event packed its usual stomping grounds of NRG Park. With a broad range of fun activities for the whole family, as well as a stacked bill of musical talent to entertain each day, the 2017 lineup featured performers such as Alan Jackson, Luke Bryan, The Chainsmokers, Willie Nelson, blink-182, Alicia Keys, Chris Stapleton and others.

"This year's Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was one of the best yet, and the turnout reflects that," said Joel Cowely, President and CEO of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. "The guests were happy, the competitions and exhibits were exciting, and the AXS ticketing technology kept things running smooth. We are already looking forward to 2018."

Among the banner turnout, Banda El Recodo and Siggno set the individual paid performance record with 75,557 on March 19.
