Keynote Speakers Announced for SDE's PreK-5 Reading, Writing, Math & More! Conference

NEW ORLEANS and PETERBOROUGH, N.H., April 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Two nationally acclaimed education experts will deliver keynote presentations at SDE's Conference on Reading, Writing, Math & More! for PreK-5 educators. The event hosted by Staff Development for Educators (SDE) will be held June 28-30, 2017 in New Orleans, LA.

Kicking off the national conference will be best-selling author, teacher, and sought-after speaker Danny Brassell, Ph.D. A recognized authority on literacy and leadership, Brassell will inspire teachers and administrators to take bold steps to achieve more than they ever thought possible in his opening day keynote, "Unlimited Abundance."

Joining him as a keynote presenter will be former principal Charles Beaman, Ed.D., an advocate of improving school and classroom management. Beaman will deliver the insightful keynote, "Hope and Humor: The Heart & Soul of Education," on the third day of the conference. He'll share his prescription for increasing achievement, improving attendance, and managing discipline challenges, while inspiring them to focus on teaching as a joyful experience.

"Our keynote speakers are undisputed leaders in education and uniquely equipped to speak to the needs of PreK–5 educators. Their presentations are sure to inform, influence, and inspire," Mia Leonard-Solis, SDE program developer, says.

The annual Conference on Reading, Writing, Math & More! has gained a reputation for delivering unrivaled learning and unprecedented networking for PreK–5 educators. This year, the conference is keenly focused on mastering content delivery to awaken student, teacher, and school success.

Brassell and Beaman will join a team of education experts who will dive deep into the areas essential to accelerating student achievement. Attendees will learn how to provide research-based instruction in the core content areas of reading, writing, and math. They'll identify strategies for promoting project- and brain-based learning through technology and STEM. Plus, they'll understand how to effectively manage assessing and motivating their diverse group of learners.

According to Leonard-Solis, "There'll be plenty of insights and lessons from those in the trenches to help attendees immediately improve how they manage behavior, their classrooms, and discipline. In addition, they'll see how educators in the real world maximize their all-too precious time, conduct reading interventions, differentiate, and provide small-group instruction."
