SDE 2017 National Conference is Open to All PreK-12 Educators

LAS VEGAS and PETERBOROUGH, N.H., March 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Staff Development for Educators (SDE), one of America's leading providers of professional development for educators, is pleased to announce that their 2017 National Conference will take place July 10-14, 2017, in Las Vegas, NV.

More than 6,000 PreK-12 educators will engage in 700+ sessions, including five keynote presentations led by internationally renowned education experts and headliners Dr. Jean Feldman, Jo Boaler, Nadia Lopez, Kyle Schwartz, and Rick Wormeli.

The I Teach PreK! strand provides pre-kindergarten teachers with fresh perspectives on play-based learning, literacy, math & science foundations, emotional & cognitive readiness for K, speaking & listening skills, and diversity, equity & access. Featured presenters are Sandi Reyes, Lisa Murphy, Clarissa Willis, Ph.D., Cheryl Smith Turner, Ed.S., and Kim Hughes, with a special appearance by Dr. Jean Feldman.

The I Teach K! strand equips kindergarten teachers with the latest behavior management, technology integration, guided reading, STEM, and inquiry-based learning strategies. The uplifting presenters include Kim Adsit, Pete Harry, and Adam Peterson, with a special appearance by Dr. Jean Feldman.  

The I Teach 1st! strand engages first-grade educators in innovative guided math, interactive writing, time and behavior management, independent reading, and poverty & intervention strategies. The Differentiated Instruction strand for K-12 educators dives deep into foundational DI, growth mindset/resiliency, poverty, equity & access, self-regulation & social/emotional, and assessment & intervention. The all-star presenters include Rick Wormeli, Jan Burkins and Kim Yaris, Robert Jackson, Tara Brown, and Jeffrey Benson.

The Teaching Math strand for K-5 educators explores math interventions & enrichment, concrete to pictorial to abstract methodology, number sense & fluency, guided math & small-group strategies, and cross-curriculum math opportunities. Featured presenters are Jo Boaler, Eliza Thomas, Christopher Danielson, Jessica Shumway, and Marcy Cook.
