360 Payments launches Velox™, a payment processing solution that helps independent automotive industry professionals modernize their operations
San Jose-area payment processing company to debut new service at SEMA Show in Las Vegas

CAMPBELL, Calif., Nov. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- 360 Payment Solutions, Inc., a San Jose-area credit card payment processing company with a national client roster, has launched Velox™, a payment processing and business modernization tool. Designed specifically for smaller, independent auto industry businesses – such as mechanics, body shops, quick-service oil change facilities, and tire professionals – Velox aims to handle payment technologies so the business owner can handle the wrench.

Velox from 360 Payments aims to assist the auto professional's independent software vendor (ISV) or point of sale vendor by providing a quick and simple integration to chip card processing technology. The Velox solution keeps the POS company out of scope of PCI compliance, and one simple integration allows the POS to be processor agnostic and process payments in multiple countries. Velox is designed for a seamless integration and customer experience, with a goal of modernizing operations in minutes, not months.

Steve Ciabattoni, co-CEO, 360 Payments, stated: "It's hard enough for independent shops to keep up with changes in automotive technology, let alone the velocity of change in business operations. We created Velox to make it easy for POS companies to offer their automotive professional clients the latest technology in the payments industry including chip processing and NFC."

Ciabattoni and co-CEO Lisa Coyle will be presenting Velox to the industry at SEMA Show 2016, the annual gathering of the Specialty Equipment Market Association, taking place in Las Vegas from November 1 through November 4. The company is welcoming both shop owners and ISVs to South Upper Hall, booth 31241.

Velox works with the current EMV and chip functionality, and lets the customer keep the card in their possession at all times – which can significantly reduce the possibility of fraud. Also, many independent automotive shops throughout the country have yet to upgrade their payment technology and have not integrated to their POS due to high costs or complexity.  Velox removes this pain from the integration process and helps independent shops gain access to technology previously only available to larger competitors.  "It's tough for some shops to compete against the dealerships," commented Coyle.  "We are in the business of helping the little guy compete against the big guy, and payment processing is a detail that shouldn't be overlooked."
