NXP and Arrayent Collaborate to Connect Thread Devices at Embedded World, Nuremberg, Germany
Arrayent's Connect IoT Platform enables remote monitoring and control of Thread-connected devices from anywhere in the world

NUREMBERG, Germany, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Arrayent, the provider of the IoT platform chosen by the world's most trusted brands, announced that it collaborated with NXP Semiconductors to demonstrate a Thread-enabled device that can be remotely monitored and controlled from anywhere in the world with the support of Arrayent's Connect IoT platform. Thread is a robust, IP-based, self-healing mesh network designed to securely and reliably connect products around the home. Until now, Thread implementations have focused on in-home, monitor and control environments. The NXP-Arrayent collaboration is the first time a Thread-enabled device has been extended to global range.

The demonstration consists of an NXP Kinetis® 802.15.4 Wireless chip with an ARM Cortex M0 MCU KW20Z board running the Thread protocol and the lightweight Arrayent Connect Agent. The KW20Z board communicates with the Arrayent Connect Cloud and to an Arrayent smart-phone-based Android application that can remotely monitor and control the KW20Z board from anywhere in the world via the Internet. Arrayent and NXP will be demonstrating this collaboration at Embedded World, Nuremberg, Germany in the NXP booth, Hall 4A / 4A-220.

"We're very excited about our collaboration with NXP to demonstrate remotely monitored and controlled Thread-enabled devices. Our demonstration showcases Arrayent's ability to easily and quickly connect NXP-powered, Thread-enabled consumer products in a secure, low-cost, and low-latency way," said Cyril Brignone, CEO, Arrayent.
