Tarpon Springs, A Guy Harvey Outpost RV Resort Is Announced Today as the Florida RV Super Show Gets Underway in Tampa, January 12-17
Traveler Demand for Outdoor Hospitality Facilities on the Upswing

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- FLORIDA STATE FAIRGROUNDS -- Elite Resorts, manager of premier RV resorts in Florida and Connecticut, today announced its second Guy Harvey Outpost RV Resort project in unveiling its plans to develop an upscale resort-style RV community near Tarpon Springs targeted to angling and RV enthusiasts. Earlier this year, Guy Harvey Outpost and Elite Resorts joined forces to redevelop Lake Okeechobee's popular Okee-Tantie park into a bucket list location for today's generation of RVers, campers, fishermen and hunters.

According to Ed Mayer, President of Elite Resorts, the $15 million, 46-acre Tarpon Springs project will be located just north of Tarpon Springs in Pasco County, between the popular Anclote Parks on the Anclote River and Gulf of Mexico. The RV community will feature 340 brick paved RV lots and a full complement of resort style amenities.  The lots, which will all offer 100 amp service to accommodate larger RVs, will be available for sale with a Phase I offering in the fall of 2016.

"With RV sales increasing for the fifth consecutive year and some 10 million RVers on the road, the demand for upscale, amenitized parks is huge," said Mayer, who has already sold 150 lots at Elite's popular Citrus Valley community in Clermont, Florida, near Orlando and the Disney parks.

In confirming their commitment to the growing outdoor hospitality market, Guy Harvey Outpost Resorts President Mark Ellert said, "the addition of Tarpon Springs and Lake Okeechobee RV locations opens up our Outpost brand of family-focused vacations built around outdoor adventure and sport fishing to a new universe of outdoor enthusiasts."

The Guy Harvey RV Resort & Marina, Lake Okeechobee will feature a 20,000 sq. ft. Lodge with 70 custom Guy Harvey branded rental cabins and 125 brick paved RV pads available for purchase.  Prices for the two projects have yet to be released, although Mayer noted that prices are expected to range upward from $45,000 depending on pad or cabin size and location.

Representatives of Elite Resorts and Guy Harvey Outpost will be on hand during the Florida RV Resort Super Show at their booths A114 and A115.
