Lee and Debby Mangelings have been selected as the winners of the 9th Annual LCGC Lifetime Achievement and Emerging Leader in Chromatography Awards.
The LCGC Lifetime Achievement Award honors a seasoned professional for a lifetime of contributions to the advancement of chromatographic techniques and applications. Milton L. Lee received a B.A. Degree in Chemistry from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Indiana University. He was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT before accepting a faculty position at Brigham Young University. Dr. Lee's research centers on capillary separation techniques.
The LCGC Emerging Leader Award recognizes the achievements and aspirations of a talented young separation scientist who has made strides early in his or her career toward the advancement of chromatographic techniques and applications. Debby Mangelings is an associate professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Lee and Mangelings will be honored at Pittcon 2016 in an oral symposium as part of the Pittcon technical program, which will be followed by technical talks from the award winners and other leading separation scientists. The presentation will take place on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 1:30 PM (Lifetime Achievement Award) and 3:45 PM (Emerging Leader Award) at the Georgia World Congress Center, Room B314.
