VIENNA, Austria, Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Trilliant, a leading US-based Smart Communications Platform company, today announced that it has been selected by NEW Netz GmbH, one of Germany's leading utilities serving about 500,000 customers in the Lower Rhine region, to provide smart grid and smart metering communications solutions for the utility's smart grid pilot project. Germany, in common with other EU countries, faces many challenges in both meeting EU goals whilst maintaining overall reliability of the grid and future energy security through the use of renewables.
