Next Generation of Food Start-Ups to Converge in Southern California
Project NOSH Announces First Emerging Food Brand Focused Conference

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aimed at empowering entrepreneurs in the rapidly growing business of Natural, Organic, Sustainable and Healthy (NOSH) foods, Project NOSH announces its first strategy and networking conference, Project NOSH Los Angeles, to be held on November 5th at the Skirball Cultural Center.

The new industry resource, formed by BevNET, creates a forum in what has quickly become a hotbed of entrepreneurial packaged food and beverage start-ups, offering resources to help these brands avoid common mistakes and gain important insights from industry experts through case-based presentations and panels.

"We believe that, while the environment for new food companies that try to present healthier or more conscious alternatives has never been more favorable, it's also incredibly competitive," said John Craven, the founder of Project NOSH and BevNET. "Our conferences aim to help businesses grow through strategy sessions, while also giving their owners a community they can rely on."

Key issues to be discussed will include topics of branding, sales growth, investment, emerging retail channels, applying innovation to new product categories, company structure, and creating partnerships with strategic acquirers and private equity funds.

Project NOSH Los Angeles will feature keynote speeches by David Baram, Managing Director of VMG and Mathis Martines of Kroger; a closing address by Hail Merry CEO Sarah Palisi Chapin; and presentations on strategics by John Haugen, VP/General Manager of 301 Inc., a new incubator launched by General Mills, and Michael Sands, EVP of Snacks at B&G Foods.
