DALLAS, Oct. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Generational Equity, a leading mergers and acquisitions advisor for privately-held, middle-market businesses, is pleased to announce that Tom Farrell, Executive Vice President of the Firm, has been invited by the ACG (Association for Corporate Growth) to moderate an executive roundtable at their annual meeting in Amsterdam on November 16, 2015. This is quite an honor and recognizes the leadership role that Mr. Farrell and Generational Equity both play in the M&A industry.
The roundtable Farrell will be leading is entitled "Best Practices in Deal Origination." Mr. Farrell was chosen to lead this group discussion because of his extensive experience in developing exit planning and deal making strategies for business owners and buyers. Farrell has a comprehensive background of over 40 years in strategic business development, executive management, and business ownership.
As an entrepreneur, Mr. Farrell operated his own company that provided a wide range of services to private companies, including the development of strategic growth plans. He has also participated in M&A transactions involving both private companies and public corporations and has assisted large companies in the acquisition of small, strategic fit businesses.
During an extensive career with Eastman Kodak Company and Smith Barney - Citigroup, Mr. Farrell held several senior executive positions with worldwide responsibility for strategic development and executive education.
His understanding of the Mergers & Acquisitions marketplace, combined with his experience with numerous businesses in a variety of industries, provides Mr. Farrell with a unique perspective. He has the insight and knowledge to assist business owners in determining the most appropriate and profitable time to exit their businesses.
He also understands the unique challenges that professional buyers face in originating opportunities with private business owners. Farrell's unique experiences on both sides of M&A transactions make him well suited for moderating this important panel.
According to Farrell, "It is a real honor to be chosen by ACG to not only attend their meeting in Amsterdam, but to also be invited by them to lead this executive roundtable. I am looking forward to moderating a lively discussion of the best practices in deal origination for the attendees at the conference."
Ryan Binkley, President of Generational Equity, added, "Having worked with Tom for years and seen his skills and experience in action, I am confident his work with this panel will provide insight and thought-leadership for everyone in attendance."
