wine2wine Business Forum announces new partnership with Italian Sommelier Association

An important announcement for the wine2wine Business Forum, the annual conference dedicated to the wine industry organized by Vinitaly and Veronafiere: the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS Italia), an association founded in 1965 to represent and promote Italian sommelier professionals, today joins the list of official institutional partners for the event, formalizing an existing relationship with the association's Venetian branch.

VERONA, Italy, Oct. 12, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 November, Verona will welcome hundreds of wine industry professionals from across the world. wine2wine Business Forum takes place in Verona in 2023 for the tenth consecutive year. The event, that involves two days of intense networking and training, gives producers and wine professionals the opportunity to explore industry trends, discuss best practice and generate ideas to grow their business internationally. The important status of sommeliers among the Forum's audience is now confirmed through a new institutional partnership with the Italian Sommelier Association - AIS Italia.

Since its foundation almost sixty years ago, one of AIS's main objectives has been to support the world of wine by facilitating the training of industry professionals. Our decision to support wine2wine Business Forum is a manifestation of this principle.

Institutional partners such as AIS Italia give credibility and authority to the event. The partnership with AIS Italia also allows the organizers to reach an even wider audience of sommeliers, a cornerstone of wine professionals both in Italy and internationally. As an important training event, the Forum gives Italian sommeliers the opportunity to update their skills and knowledge of issues currently affecting the wine industry and, in return, to receive suggestions on topics for inclusion in future editions.

AIS Italia, which today has over 40,000 members, promotes and disseminates the culture of wine through a wide range of initiatives. In addition to delivering the three levels of courses necessary to obtain the diploma, the association organizes guided tastings, themed seminars, study trips and other activities with the aim of preparing and keeping sommeliers updated. Sommeliers are professionals who are experts not only in the wine itself, but also in the world surrounding it.

Sandro Camilli, President of AIS Italia, said: "Since its foundation almost sixty years ago, one of AIS's main objectives has been to support the world of wine by facilitating the training of industry professionals. Our decision to support wine2wine Business Forum is a manifestation of this principle. Among its many benefits, the event brings to Italy the international expertise of some of the most important experts currently active in the sector, so promoting the project is a way for us to further enrich the training available to our members."
