First annual OSICON brings together ERP experts

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Jan. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Announcing OSICON, the first-ever enterprise-level open source conference, February 15 – 17, 2019 at the University of Advancing Technology. The conference will bring together thought leaders in the open source community working in enterprise implementations to share insights, trends, new technologies, successes, and industry challenges.

"We are very excited to be a part of the inaugural convention and bring speakers, case studies and panels that will enhance progression of open source deployments at the enterprise level," said Greg Mader, president of OSICON title sponsor Open Source Integrators™. "We have the opportunity to bring together the best in the industry to foster, empower, and propagate ERP thought leadership."

An all-star lineup of ERP experts has been assembled from around the world. The two-day event is packed with interactive sessions that cover a range of enterprise focused topics, from field service management to data visualization.

Attendees can look forward to hearing from industry leaders like retired Major General William Hix, former Director of Strategy, Plans and Policy for the US Army and founder of Next Horizon Partners, Fabrice Henrion, Director of Americas at Odoo, and many other top open source advisors.

The conference will also have a student track that includes a Code Sprint, where students will learn the basics of ERP software, coding, and methodologies. Student participants will receive a certificate of completion, as well as a free open source ERP software license.

In addition to the college Code Sprint, executive attendees can choose from a variety of optional activities to make the most of their visit in Arizona—whether that's dinner at the Arizona Grand Resort or a comedy night at Tempe Improv.
