PEKIN, Ill., Jan. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- When the 2019 iaedp™ Symposium officially begins in just three weeks on February 7 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, California, opening day ceremonies will feature the traditional Presentation of the Colors, followed by the iaedp™ Chapter State Flags and International Flags, honoring the professionals who come together each year to advance learning, share groundbreaking information and engage with the world's most renowned eating disorders professionals.

This year, 19 U.S. states will be represented at the 33rd annual iaedp™ Symposium: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. A record 10 countries also will be represented, including Jamaica, United Kingdom, Spain, Canada, Costa Rica, Australia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Columbia and the United States.

"The iaedp™ Chapter State Flags and iaedp™ International Flags celebrate and honor our national and international chapters that we all are so proud of," said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director of the iaedp™ Foundation.

In fact, this year's Symposium features eight sessions presented in Spanish only, addressing the latest in eating disorder treatment, causes and science – much like the other nearly 60 sessions that are in English.
