SANS to Detail How to Become a Penetration Tester at San Francisco Cyber Security Training Event
Will Offer Courses for Both Newbies and Highly Seasoned Security Professionals

BETHESDA, Md., Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced the agenda for SANS San Francisco Fall 2018 (#SANSSanFrancisco) taking place in California November 26December 1. Courses offered will cover a variety of topics such as cyber defense, ethical hacking, digital forensics and security management. Bonus evening talks will round out the agenda including a discussion by SANS course author and certified instructor Adrien 'de Beaupré' (@adriendb) entitled So, You Wanna be a Pentester?

According to 'de Beaupré', "Wondering what it takes to become a penetration tester? Join me in San Francisco for a no-fluff, honest discussion on what is actually needed to become a penetration tester. I am somewhat sarcastic, tongue in cheek, and often quite serious. This talk is based on my observations on industry trends and the current demand for security professionals. There are various paths that you can take to the technical aspects of cyber security, I will discuss them."

In addition to his evening talk, 'de Beaupré' will also teach his co-authored course SEC642: Advanced Web App Penetration Testing, Ethical Hacking, and Exploitation Techniques. This course is ideal for pen testers that want to advance their skills and knowledge of new techniques that are required to test modern web applications and next-generation technologies.
