Wolters Kluwer Expert to Speak at Voice of Blockchain Conference
One of Wolters Kluwer's leading authorities on blockchain will moderate a panel on regulatory matters

NEW YORK, Aug. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. blockchain expert Brad Rosen will moderate a panel at the Voice of Blockchain conference, taking place on August 24-25 at Navy Pier in Chicago.

The panel, "Fintech & Markets: Finding Regulatory Solutions Working with Government," will cover regulatory issues relating to digital assets. Rosen will lead a discussion to explore what finance professionals should know about the future of blockchain in the industry, regulatory measures taken by government agencies thus far and what they might expect to see in the future.

"Some areas of the virtual currency ecosystem have remained virtually untouched by regulation, taking on a 'wild west' veneer, while other activities might be subject to multiple regulators and a host of uncertain regulatory requirements and obligations," observed Rosen. "The panel will provide conference attendees with an update on the current state of the regulatory hodgepodge. We will also provide practical insight on dealing with regulators and getting business done in an ever-evolving and complicated blockchain legal environment."

Rosen is a legal analyst for the Securities group of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S. and is a regular contributor to Wolters Kluwer's wide range of resources for banking, finance and securities professionals. He contributes to Securities Regulation Daily and is also the editor of the Commodity Futures Law Reporter and Derivatives Law Watch. His areas of interest include futures and derivatives law, investment fraud, as well as the emerging field of blockchain and virtual currency regulation. Rosen is also a co-author of Wolters Kluwer's newest title, "Blockchain, Virtual Currencies and ICOs: Navigating the Legal Landscape."

"Fintech & Markets: Finding Regulatory Solutions Working with Government" will take place on Saturday, August 25 at 3:10 pm. The Voice of Blockchain conference is sponsored by the Chicago Blockchain Project, an organization dedicated to the advancement of blockchain by connecting private and public institutions through an ecosystem engineered to benefit individuals, small and medium enterprises, and corporations. To learn more about the conference, visit: https://chicagoblockchainproject.com/voice-of-blockchain/
