SANS Announces the Agenda for Northern Virginia Cyber Security Training Event
Keynote Address to Detail How InfoSec Professionals Can Use Cyber Attacks to Advance their Career

BETHESDA, Md., July 31, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced the agenda for SANS Northern VA Fall-Tysons 2018 (#SANSTysons) taking place October 13-20. The event features courses for security professionals at every level. SANS senior instructor and Counter Hack director Joshua Wright (@joswr1ght ) will examine how InfoSec professionals can use cyber attacks to propel their career into the next decade during his keynote discussion.

According to Wright, "Based on the frequency of news reporting the latest cyber security breach, it's easy to get despondent about the state of cyber security today. But what if you could use these instances as a powerful motivation to help you grow and expand your career? There is much work to be done to improve the state of cyber security, and with it comes tremendous opportunity to grow our careers to make more money, to achieve more benefits, or to tackle new challenges for recognition and promotion from your employer. Join me in Northern Virginia where I will share how to leverage this modern era of cyber security as a jumping point to propel your InfoSec career into the next decade."

In addition to his talk, Wright will teach his SEC575: Mobile Device Security and Ethical Hacking course.  This course was designed to give security professionals the skills necessary to understand the security strengths and weaknesses in Apple iOS and Android devices. Students will have the opportunity to dive deep into evaluating mobile apps, operating systems, and their associated infrastructure.
